Explanation of our Referral Process

Your Child is Special

SVR4C maintains a computerized listing of child care in Saginaw, Bay and Arenac Counties. Family Day Care Home, Group Day Care Homes, Child Care Centers, preschools, Before and After School Programs are listed. All are regulated by Consumer and Industry Services, Division of Child Day Care Licensing, which establishes minimum standards for health and safety.

4C also has information on how to hire a person to provide care in your home. State licensing consultants and 4C can assist child care providers in meeting general standards of quality, but only you, the parent, can decide which care is best for your child.

One of the most important decisions that families make is choosing child care for their children. Saginaw Valley Regional 4C provides parents with the information they need to help assess their needs, locate services, evaluate quality and choose the best possible care for their children.

We maintain a referral database of more than one thousand regulated/licensed child care homes and centers in Arenac, Bay and Saginaw Counties. This database contains detailed information about each child care provider. This enables us to make referrals responsive to the needs of each individual family. There is no fee for the referral service. However, donations to the agency are welcome.
